Apartment with deco flair
The apartment project, located in the center of Warsaw in a historic building, was born from the desire to respect the deco style of the building, but by bringing in a small deco touches and without getting lost in a chronological and meticulous reconstruction of style - which would have been unsuitable for a small space.
The living room and bedroom ceilings are the places where I put a typically deco style border that goes all around each room.
As always in my interiors, I wanted to pair the aesthetic with the useful, and then I drew a series of containers - from the living room furniture to the library hidden in the bedroom - playing with an item that could well fit into this interior and with which I wanted to experiment: copper.
Based on three pastel colors, blue gray, pinkish beige and ivory, I lavished copper inserts to break and "warm up" the interior, creating a very elegant atmosphere.
I also tried to make less anonymous the larger wall spaces, using whole mirrored walls, from the small entrance hall where I also added a container and a large wardrobe closet. Here the copper pattern is replicated in vertical stripes that go from door of the closet to the door of the bathroom and reach the ceiling, making a visually larger entrance.
I put wall mirrors in both bathrooms and mirrors in the living room.
Some design touches: the chandelier Gallotti & Radice, the sconces of the bath Contardi, the copper faucets Cone by Gessi, and the Cea tap and gray colored sanitary by Ceramiche Cielo.
