Baroque villa project
The customer wanted an interior along the lines of a house of the eighteenth century.
I focused on the details and finishes in gold leaf.
In the master bedroom, I created a gilded wooden ceiling in gold leaf, entirely carved and mounted at a distance from the actual ceiling, painted in bright blue, the dominant color of the room.
The same pattern was reproduced and pasted on the glass doors of the master bathroom, to create a gorgeous and rich feel.
The small guest bathroom was done in faux marble painted by an Italian restorer.
In the dining room I used a "damage" in plaster covered in gold leaf. This stands out and shines on the green background of the walls, as in an eighteenth-century chinoiserie. The ceiling is done with a treillage trompe l'oeil, which gives depth to the room.
The curtains were done in the shape of a small pagoda in red silk to complete the atmosphere.
